On Friday, November 30th, the 9th graders visited Lindenwood University. They participated in a “College Prep 101″ workshop that consisted of ways to prepare for college as well as information about Lindenwood. The group took a tour of campus led by current Lindenwood students where they learned about college activities and experiences. The students were excited to eat lunch on campus and to experience a taste of college life. The day ended with a special tour of the science building led by an archeology professor. The students saw archeology and biology classrooms and walked through the school’s greenhouse.
Gateway Science Academy is committed to exposing students to college options from an early age. Students are then more motivated and prepared to make important decisions about their future. The 9th grade class will tour a different college during the Spring semester and again during their sophomore and juniors years.
