Campus Visits

GSA is proud to provide opportunities for students to visit college campuses. The goal of these visits are to allow students to envision themselves at various colleges early and start deciphering what qualities they want in a campus for their own college experience. Students are required to attend at least one campus visit a year during their freshmen, sophomore, and junior years. These grade level visits are arranged by the school in place of what would be a normal school day. The visits may include an admissions presentation, campus tour, lecture pop-in, and campus lunch. Students are also encouraged to attend open houses and campus visits arranged by colleges or outside organizations. Small groups with varying grade levels are occasionally organized to those are interested with a specific college. Students and families are welcome to plan their own visits to campuses and may reach out to the college department for additional support and resources.GSA students were able to visit the following colleges: Washington University in Saint Louis, University of Missouri Saint Louis, University of Missouri Science and Technology, Lindenwood University, Saint Louis college of Pharmacy, and Saint Louis University. Here are some pictures from the visits..

COLLEGE REPRESENTATIVE VISITS:

COLLEGE FAIR:

Gateway Science Academy held its 4th Annual College Fair on May 20, 2015.
Many local universities were able to attend, including Saint Louis University, Washington University, Saint Louis Community College and St. Louis College of Pharmacy. Colleges from different parts of the state along with nearby states were also present including: Drury University, Lindenwood University, Millikin University, and Southern Illinois University of Carbondale. GSA students were able to browse each stand and engage in one-on-one chats with the representatives of the various colleges. They were able to learn the requirements from each individual college and ask questions related to their interested major. Resources, such as booklets and reference cards, were available at every stand, that offered overviews of the school campus and overall information regarding the college. Students were encouraged to retrieve these resources and fill out reference cards, even if they did not get the chance to talk to every representative.

FINANCIAL AID WORKSHOPS:
