The GSA International Orchestra students performed with St. Louis Symphony members at the St. Louis International Institute. We played for new residents from all over the world, who came wearing clothing from their homelands and grew up with different languages, customs, religions, and music. Chris Woehr so graciously arranged traditional music from nations represented in the audience, highlighting the rich value of the new cultures in our area. The students of the International Institute have been working so hard to learn the customs and language of St. Louis, so we also enjoyed and learned something special about the cultures our new friends: their music.
