GSA Student Won the Congressional Award

We are happy to announce that our senior Rowan Eliott has won the congressional award.

The Congressional Award is a public-private partnership created by Congress to promote and recognize achievement, initiative, and service in America’s youth. The Congressional Award provides a unique opportunity for young people to set and achieve personally challenging goals that build character and foster community service, personal development, and citizenship.

This is an award set up by the US government to recognize students with exceptional service, physical activity, and personal development. Rowan completed 400 service hours in an effort to receive this award.
This summer she will travel to Washington DC where she will receive her medal. She is one out of two students in our congressional district to receive the award.
