Art and Language Contest 2015

GSA did an amazing job at the Concept Art & Language Contest on April 25th in Chicago. The contest took place in The Copernicus Center. Students had an opportunity to show their talents in this regional competition on a large, beautiful stage. Our Turkish Dancers took second place in the folk dance category. Under the direction of Mr.Ahmet and Mrs. Durhan, the dancers were: Agni Deeljore, Rana Karatas, Eda Sagnak, Rhiannon Hausel, Raegen Bicklein, KT Elliot, Sophie Bell,Alyssia Rosenkranz. Our students in the English song category were: Moon Streitz, Shawna Flesh and Peyton Otis who were runners-up. Moon Streitz came in fourth place in the Turkish song category. The GSA Orchestra amazed the audience with their performance of the American and Turkish National Anthems. They earned the second place in the “show your talent” category. Under the direction of Mrs. Van Winkle, our GSA Orchestra students were Neziha Aktas, Jesus Barrigan, Alex Boehlje, Miles Bradford, Justin Collins, Cody Gregorczyk, Amber Grider, Rana Karatas, Matthew Lucy, Elmir Malkic, Bradley Marler, Sequoia Maybearry, Kai Montgomery, Joe Vacarro, and Brayden West. Congratulations to all students who worked very hard for this contest. GSA is very proud of all of your accomplishments!
