On Friday, February 8, 2013, the 9th grade class celebrated Mardi Gras in style with a mixer dedicated to them. Students and their dates enjoyed music from a professional DJ, created personalized book marks in the photo booth, and ate King cake among other goodies, and crowned their very own Mardi Gras king and queen. “The photo booth was the best part,” said Nikki Lujan who received several bookmarks from the professional photographer. The dance was held in the gym, and was a great bonding experience for everyone who attended. “I loved the dance! The music was so good, and I can’t wait until our next one,” exclaimed Kelly Sikorski.
