First Grade students met their international partners from St. Louis University on October 5 for the first time. They introduced themselves and talked a little about what they like and their families. After introductions, the international students were paired up with first graders to readThe Little Red Hen. GSA students learned how to say the names of the characters in Chinese. The international students practiced their English while having conversations.
We are looking forward to our next 2 visits scheduled with the SLU students!
This partnership gives everyone the opportunity to learn from one another. It encourages our students to accept and appreciate diversity.
