Ms. Behrens and Ms. Ferguson arranged a Skype session with Kate Messner for Mr. Lucas and Ms. Ferguson’s classes and Ms. Behrens’ after-school book club. Kate Messner is the author of Capture the Flag, The Brilliant Fall of Gianna Z, and Eye of the Storm which the students have been reading. Students also prepared questions to ask Mrs. Messner. This was a great opportunity for students to talk with an author and learn about the writing process and to ask questions about books they are reading. Ms. Messner is also signing books purchased by the students.
