Thanks to a grant that Ms. McCann received from Springboard for Learning, Kindergarten-2nd grade students enjoyed an afternoon with Storyteller, Bobby Norfolk. Bobby began his career as a National Park Service Ranger at the Gateway Arch. He then moved to theatre and comedy before finding his true calling as a storyteller. Bobby went on to star in the CBS television show, Gator Tales. He now performs internationally for audiences of all ages.
Our afternoon took us on A Musical Journey Around the World. Bobby brought to life diverse cultures through animated stories, while Dave Farver played music from faraway lands.
The journey around the world introduced our students to world history, international music, cultural diversity, character education, world literature and creative writing.
The smiles on the faces of the students were evidence that everyone had a great time!
