Technology Day at AT&T 2016

Good Morning Selami,

The HACEMOS technology day field trip is an annual event that educates and motivates students to learn about technology. The field trip consisted of several technology breakout sessions such as:

• Oculus Virtual Reality Demo
• It Can Wait (No Texting While Driving)
• Internet of Things
• Telepresence
• Code.org workshops

I believe that all of the students enjoyed the field trip, so I asked a few of them to provide feedback regarding the field trip and here are the a few of the responses:

Tommy Duong a senior stated that “The trip was very interesting and fun. I learned a lot about technology, the trip really encouraged me to pursue a career in technology or engineering.

Grace Trendle a sophomore stated “The field trip was a lot of fun. I loved how we got to try different things like; how to program using code and what its like to text while driving. We learned a lot and had fun at the same time. The algorithms with the cups was my favorite part. Somethings were a little challenging but we figured it out. I would love to do this again.

Ryan Mandle a sophomore stated that “he liked learning about new stuff that AT&T is coming out with and how video conferences are going to be conducted in the future. I got to see what a oculus rift is like, I had only seem gamers use it before now. I liked that they showed us what it is like to text while driving. I would like to attend again next year.

Angela Pearcy a sophomore said “My favorite part of the field trip was getting to experience texting and driving. I also enjoyed doing the coding for games and movies. The whole trip was an good experience, my first thought was that is was going to be boring but I ended up really liking it.
